The End of an Era

seemed like a dramatic enough title to commemorate the end of august
why?
No clue

SO since you all like my creative writing style so much I am going to try and keep it up

Walking, step by step by step
the hot sun beating across the back of our necks
Heads held High
grinning from ear to ear
at the Joke another shared

Side by side
Two by two
here to save
me and you

He made it possible
so long ago
Christ
Jesus
The Atoning One

We walk
miles at a time
to find one
to share a truth
that effects us all

As we walk and talk we speak of many things
some of them amazing to think
How much we've changed we often remark
just a year ago we often start
we listened to music with our ears
and now it pierces our hearts
we drew from our minds
now from our souls
for the words to lift those with heavy tolls

the Tolls of Sin we rarely bring up
for those are paid in full by Him

that's all we want to share we often remark
how you can be happy at last in this Dark
the Dark of sin settling in the very veins of the earth
it slanders everything good and wonderful

we discussed the other day why ZSatan makes it this way
as we thought of how much our talents we've suppressed
and now we discover we are just as good as the rest
Satan's lies aren't all in sin
He really seeks to make miserable man

so every time I draw
and every time I write
I actually am participating in the fight
the fight against misery
the fight against idleness

because creative things are from our Father
the Creator of all
and he Made everything so we could be here
and learn to be like him
and become as he is

for is that not what Christ said those many years ago

Are we not all Gods?

we were born to create
to act and not be acted upon

and by acting
We Win

and Satan really honestly doesn't have a prayer against us

so
if your feeling sad
or lonely
or tired of the fight to do Right
pick up a brush
or a pencil
or start typing
or grab some clay
just do what you can to create and let God help you
he will
because at the end of the day
that's what he wants for us

I love you all
creativty is back
imagination is back
joy is back
life is back
the dark tunnel I was in has ended
No longer am I working toward the light
I am in and surrounded by it

I am Back
and better than ever

Another one bites the Dust

I remarked as yet another investigator dropped us making the count 3 in the last 5 hours on a blazing hot Saturday Afternoon

Elder Whipple and I have had well a hard go the last week
in just the past 4 days our pool of investigators went from 10 to 2 many dropping us with no real reason and a few that came across some unfavorable material against the church

Stupid Anti Mormon propaganda

(I like how I can spell Propaganda right the first try but if I try to spell Wednesday the first time I am almost guaranteed failure because English)

So since this week was kinda depressing I am just gonna write about life and maybe throw some stuff in that happened this week

so

It's really quite amazing to me I've gotten this far for some of you that knew me a few years ago you may have thought I would have never really served a mission let alone stayed active in the church but now I don't know whose thoughts they really were (well beside them being the adversary's)

Change is amazing I have seen it in those I have taught and I have seen it in myself
for a time I would rarely if ever speak of the scriptures, of the prophets or even of the Savior but now almost all the time his name is upon my lips and emblazoned on my chest as the representative of Him who we owe our lives to

many times in lessons I will speak, and not knowing what to say I will testify of him in a way that old 17 year old me wouldn't even attempt. I know that that change comes by and though the Atonement of Christ.

Do I still miss Home? you bet, it's not easy to realize your 1,700 miles from home, family, friends not to mention the complete in accessibility to the life you may have led back home whether it be Music or movies or Video games or even activities such as swimming or rock climbing

all an all the week has been interesting but its all a moment really in the grand scheme of things
I'm sure the lord has many plans that I can't even begin to understand

Time really is beginning to fly
faster and faster
the days become blurred together
hours are minutes and minutes are hours
As time ticks away sometimes it stops
for just a moment it freezes
a memory is formed to secure
a phase
a picture
a person
a feeling
that lifts to a higher plane
one where time isn't really relevant
the plane where we are truly from
I let the time pass though my fingers sifting it for those frozen moments
so I can really enjoy every moment

As life moves on So do I
all I have to do is keep moving forward

I love you all more now than ever
i'll see you all soon enough in a frozen moment that is just on the rise

Storms ain't got nothin on these sons of Guns

SO
the heavens have declared all out war on the fair land of Ohio....

let me walk you though it as much as I can with my completely trashed planner

Monday was pretty normal after some preperation day stuff we just chilled till we went out and knocked some doors the usual

Tuesday as well
consisted of some follow up on potentials and the like

Wednesday was more of that as well

Thursday the storms began

all was well that day even though the 90 degree heatwave with high humidity we were out working untill the evening when we went down to hudson
on the way we saw some storm clouds rolling in

and then they were on top of us

Gallons and gallons of water a second poured down on us
the car was engulfed in this tidal wave of rain
....
right at our dedicated finding time
where we are supposed to be outside

so

we said a quick prayer and at the amen a HUGE Bolt of lightning was in the distance followed by the Clap of Thunder

we both looked at each other and then emptied our pockets till all we had was our tags and our testimonies

so we kinda just looked at each other and said
"faith without works is dead"
and opened the doors and ran out of the car

within seconds we were already DRENCHED by the time we made it up the first driveway to knock on the door I'm pretty sure I was swimming more than I was actually walking

thankfully a really nice older couple answered the door and offered us some towels and let us talk to them till the storm passed
they weren't super interested but the next house we tried was and we set up to see them again on Saturday after explaining the Restoration and the need for the Book of Mormon

Friday was easily in the 95-99 degree range it was also HUMID like Elder Whipple walked out and his glasses fogged up immediately
it was unbearably hot
then at almost the exact same time as yesterday
this time we were walking and tracting not far from home

but certainly far enough

the heavens opened again
this time we had no way of protecting our planners and what not
so
they are now completely trashed

thankfully the transfer is almost over and then we get a new one

they crazy thing is i've been here for 3 months and it still feels like 3 weeks

but I am loving it so much!

Love ya all and don't be afraid to dance in the Rain!

Hello Famialy! :insert Frozen reference here:

SO in an attempt to make up for last week's Dog Days email I will now compose an elegant speech that shall one day be made in to an epic Ballad of the adventures of Elder Bone in Solon Ohio

Verily we begin this tale with the great stories of the Knight from the famed great walled city of Salt Lake

He had traveled long and far from his home seeking the salvation of one not his own

his noble steed Delta He rode faster than the wind high in the sky

After he arrived he journeyed from the Far East to the slightly less Far east and more north toward the great, but Eire, lake

Now he lives in the smallish hamlet of Twinsburg Ohio which is certainly more populace than that of the land of Lisbon
there ain't nobody out in that neck of the woods

But the tale of the week began not at the hamlet of Twinsburg but rather at the equally strange town of Middlefield where he and Sir Whipple conquered greatly in the courts of sand while being perplexed by the ye olde buggies that were pulled by horses
like what is this 1499? (trying to hit a weird al reference not sure if I nailed it or not)

returning as he did from that great battle of fun
he slept well that night being fed both in his thirst for victory and in the sustenance the great Quebe Family provided for such an Epic Hero

The next morn at the Watches Crow he rose to ride on this time his own great power taking him to the distant far far distant land of Macedonia
on a bicycle
in humidity
lapses in judgment aside not a very productive day was had by our Hero as he and his wonderful companion Sir Whipple was not feeling too hot after such a tasking journey
Slept well tho

The Third of Wednesday on the month of August Year of our Lord He, Refreshed and revitalized embarked once again on his Quest for the Salvation of Man
by knocking on a few hundred doors
and having a nice dinner with he and Sir Whipple
That evening though, the Grand Duke of all of the fair Kingdom of Kirtland took our two weary travelers on a refreshing journey to see the family of the Salsgivers whom reside in the area to the west of these young stalwart servants of Him who lives on High.
He also in his great kindness treated them to a hole-in-the-wall Ice cream shoppe of which praises ought to be sung for such a noble act
(because it was GOOD Ice cream after a night of Rejection)

The 4th proceeded as such
a battle plan was constructed to best garner our forces to bring the Foes to subjection and to free those entrapped by their lies
(funny to thing I at one point needed the rescue I offer..)
Sir Whipple a seasoned Veteran to the Art of War against this particular adversary he lead the way in assuring the necessary preparations were made for war
The Evening was well spent in the Company of the Talentino's as they Provided great meals for the duo

Fri's day was kept in accord by the records of the scribblings of our Hero as a day of great acclaim as the Leaders of the East Zone of the Great Kingdom of Kirtland came to inspect and instruct our Heroic Knights on new ways to improve their lacking abilities and strengthen the strong ones. The weakest of failings being the atrocity called District meeting
Trust me
it was bad
like
BAD
Thankfully Lord Hansen and Lord Milam assisted Our Very own Baron von Bone in helping with the affairs of his small area to council those he has been charged watch-care over to assist in the great and endless battle of the ages
The Family of the Fishers was also very kind in sustaining our Knight that evening with a wonderful meal Lord Hansen also agreed

The week now came to a close with the Saturday event of Twinsday when all the hamlet of Twinsburg sees double
(its cool and weird but no pictures sorry)
after that they updated the great scroll which goes to the Baron of Solon to witness his efforts on behalf of the people
He then did great battle against the Foe of Grass upon an unfortunate members lawn
in the heat of the day did he battle with the beast of the Mower and Sir Whipple with the Sword of the Edge(r)
The thankful family rewarded the effort with Pizza to which both shouted HUZZAH
The Evening was back to the Doors as they sought some soul to listen to the spirit's voice
no dice

The Great Leadership council was postponed as the day of rest and the Lords day of Fasting coincide but the day of rest is never truly a day of rest for our Hero as he and Sir Whipple moved with swiftness to appointments that were canceled politely
not so polite were those they sought that night to discover there standing in the kingdom of God
needless to say they really didn't want to be enlisted
their loss

Thus concludes the ballad of Baron von Bone
