Zone Conference and other Shake downs

I do enjoy fun titles XD

So My family all went to Cali without me ... nice :P

Monday:
The mission is hurting for miles (SL cut the mission by like 1,000 so everyone is hurting (except us :) so instead of doing anything we did nothing. XD nah we all played Monopoly deal till we wanted to kill each other XD

Tuesday:
Scott canceled on us so no dice there
we (finally)  saw sister Otero again. We had like a 10 minute lesson before we all had to go which kinda Bites but we hopefully will be able to see her again on a more regular basis.
after dinner we headed to Bro. Luevano's to chat and share the #hallughlia (<-- one word I just can't spell :P) He liked it a lot and he's getting closer to landing a job that won't have him working on Sundays all the time :)

Wednesday:
(sometimes I wonder how legible my emails would be if I didn't have spell check...)
A really really delayed ZONE CONFERENCE
well you can argue it wasn't if you count Christmas conference but still its been a while.
normally we combine with the Canton zone so we have like 50+ there but this time it was just our zone and we were all Front and Center Nose to nose with President Brown. it was INTENSELY awesome! Some new changes from WAY up top are hitting us and most all of them are Very obviously geared toward missionaries with iPads.. which is almost all of them.. barring only us pretty much. naturally right? :P (i'm not bitter or anything XD)
So I always find it the height of irony when president stresses the need to be punctual and then proceeds to extend our meeting by a good hour and a half.. so we had to cancel pretty much everything else that evening  :P

Thursday:
Did some plannin' Stopped by some old referrals went to bishops for correlation meeting and went to institute, when we got there Kyle wasn't there so elder Fifield and I started walking home because that's mission policy if your Investigator doesn't come to an event, well as we were walking home guess who we walked into? Kyle! on his way up so we got to go and stay for the rest of institute which was awesome!

Friday:
So we did some service for Brother Potter he needed help moving his recliner out and moving a new one in so we showed up on time.. however the actual recliner wasn't forthcoming till... an hour and a half after it was supposed to be there. on the flip side everything else fell though so we could help.

Saturday:
We helped Brother Norton move out and he's headed your way! that is to the SL Valley. He's awesome and I hope to see him again when I go home! After that everybody flamed us except the stebels :) they the best :D

Sunday:
Easter Sunday so no ward Council which is nice :)
Sacrament meeting was good too, got me pumped for GC or in other words Missionary Superbowl!
basically spent Easter with the Stebels which was a lot of fun!

Love ya all

Alma 30:44
But Alma said unto him: Thou hast had signs enough; will ye tempt your God? Will ye say, Show unto me a sign, when ye have the testimony of all these thy brethren, and also all the holy prophets? The scriptures are laid before thee, yea, and all things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator.

Even at 20 the work moves on!

For all who didn't get the memo I'm now officially Moved in! I mean not a teenager! (hope someone gets that..)

anyway yeah I some how made it to the age of 2 decades... weird
but before that happened we had a whole week of stuff right.. so Down to the trenches

Monday:
Got a hair cut at an actual place (I.e. great clips) for the first time on my mission.
Did some shopping and found a gem called Monopoly Deal calling my name from the dollar store so SCORE. (side note all of us now hate each other because of that game XD)

Tuesday:
Had our first district meeting with the new senior couple now that the Browns (no not that one) moved out and back to Utah. We had a great time getting to know the Newbold's and I some how dodged the discussion I was asked to give haha
after lunch at the Newbold's our appointment with Obi canceled and Tom flamed us again :(
as did our dinner, but they just sent pizza to us instead :)

Wednesday:
Had a bit of a flame-y day, started with us meeting with David, the skate shop owner, kinda talked about what makes the LDS church different, he still isn't investigating but he did read the Pamphlet we left him.
After that we went to see Bro Lynn but his kids had the flu so no go there.
We swung by Kyle and taught about the Sabbath day and why we go to church
after that we went to Brother Snyder's for a Correlation meeting with the 4 of us (ZL's bailed for a bible study at  AU)

Thursday:
WAS AWESOME
so we had weekly planning which is a necessary thing that can be REALLY hard to get though but after that we headed down to Akron, we met with Sister Sanford in her care center. after a short lesson with her we went to go see a few of the people we hadn't been able to find in our area, as we were about to get on our bikes this guy ran up to us and was like " Y'all Mormons?" so naturally we replied "yup!" and thus we met Scott who we taught the 5 minute restoration and he wanted to met with us again so we are seeing him tomorrow!
on our way to see Obi we ran in to Dustin who we hope will want to learn more after Elder Fifield talked to him about how there is a God and we are his children and he Does want the best for us! after that we saw Obi in his shop and started talking to him when His friend/neighbor came in and saw us and we all talked together, he was a baptist turned Jehovah's witness turned non-denominational Christian (and will be turned Mormon when we are done with him XD ) he actually believes that the Trinity isn't really a thing and God and Christ are separate, we are hoping to teach him soon as well!
after that we tried to meet with sister Bland but no dice instead we just set up for Friday...

Friday!
AKA exchange day for me! Elder Bennett and I mobbed together in Tal-west while Fifield and Bradshaw chilled in their area, we swapped at the Library after doing our progress Record and had some lunch with the ZL's we then walked to the Kliens and had a swift lesson before getting to the Bus stop to catch the 10 to Luka for our appointment with the Bland's all was going just fine until Elder Bennett, as we watched the bus drive away, said he left his wallet on the bus... so we then called the (really mean) dispatch lady and then beg a favor from the Zone leaders to pick it up for us. (thankfully they did)

Saturday March 19th 2016
AKA
MY 20th!!!!
spent the morning doing more Construction on the Watkins house than destruction this time. after that David bought a cake so we hung out for a bit at his shop (I may want to pick up long boarding when I get home...) After that we did some tracting and headed home to be picked up by the Stebel's for an awesome dinner of Chicken Pillows :) and a big Birthday cake

Sunday:
Met with Sister Hardy after chuch for lunch and then since our appointment with brother Luevano fell though we hung out with Brother Norton and helped him with the last touches on his almost empty house.

Have a good week all! I sure did :) and thanks for all the Birthday wishes!

Training meetings and Raising the Bar

We had some really cool stuff happen this week relating to good meetings that helped us and will continue to help us grow in the mission and work well with our investigators and our districts.

Monday:
it was Finally sunny enough for me to clean my bike, Ohio uses SO much road salt that if you don't keep it clean it will rust really easy, after that did some window shopping and bout choked on my tie when I saw a store charging almost $100 for a copy of Double Dash. (scary thing is I still almost considered buying it.. sorry bro)
That evening we had dinner at a Nepali members home... Lets just say I'm glad I was sent state side. it was too weird to have to A) eat a fish and B) actually eat the fish with its eyes staring at you... ew
(needless to say I kinda lost my appetite)

Tuesday:
tried to stay busy as we could and actually find someone to talk to but no dice :(

Wednesday:
EXCHANGES.. again.. Elder Bennett likes to procrastinate XD this time though I went with Elder Bradshaw and I GOT TO DRIVE! man it was too long since I had driven but on the upside I only got one "Aggressive driving" for a semi-sharp turn :P dang TIWI
The rest of the day was pretty much teaching less actives and brother McCoy who I got along with really well cuz of his Tech backround (he does 3D modeling)

Thursday:
Got a refferal from a Member and we went to contact it and they wanted NOTHING to do with us but we at least got them to take the Book of Mormon so YAY :)
after that we had dinner with the bishop to discuss the ward's progress

Friday:
ZTM!! We talked ALOT about changing our District meetings to include more spontaneous practices during our councils as well as applying our new Standards of Excellence to improve the Mission. Just some really good discussion in general. one Quote one of our Sister training leaders gave was " Humility is not thinking less of yourself but thinking of yourself less"
after the meeting we went to Steak N Shake as a Zone. (photo will be below) I don't think they were at all prepared for our group!

Saturday:
met with Kyle and Micheal (a member of the YSA branch) he invited Kyle to A) go to the singles branch which we think will be way better for him and B) to the Kirtland temple to have sacrament, something  they do once a month or so. we thought we could go but then we got denied :P
Had dinner at the Stebels again and I love their Family!

Sunday:
Well we WERE planing on going to Kirtland (we WILL GO soon) we had to plan last minute (I'm not bitter at all XD) what to do for the evening so we mainly just did some finding and more or less just some being rejected nicely or harshly.

Monday:
due to transfers we move our Prep-day hence the this being Tuesday that I am sending this to you. had District meeting which went AWESOME as we applyied what we learned on Friday to practice more. Did some more Biking trying to track down lost sheep before going to the Stebels for Dinner again and had a good fun time talking about the Marshmallow experiment that Pres. Uchtdorf shared one confrence.
that evening we got transfer calls and Elder Fifield and I are staying put for the time being!

Love you all and have a good week!

Alma 11:40
And he shall come into the world to redeem his people; and he shall take upon him the transgressions of those who believe on his name; and these are they that shall have eternal life, and salvation cometh to none else.
